What data is processed?

The following personal data is processed for the purpose of sending the newsletter:

  • Optionally, your name or a display name of your choice.
  • Time of registration and confirmation (double opt-in)
  • Technical information required for shipping


Purpose of data processing

The data will be used exclusively to:

  • to send the newsletter “The AI Journalist”
  • to inform you about new content, workshops and offers related to AI in journalism

The data will not be used for any other purposes.


Legal basis

Your data is processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Registration takes place via a so-called double opt-in process. This means that you will only receive the newsletter after confirming your email address.


Newsletter distribution via Steady

The newsletter is sent via the Steady service. Steady processes the data exclusively for the purpose of sending the newsletter and within the framework of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Unsubscribe and withdraw consent

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You will find an unsubscribe link in every newsletter email.

By unsubscribing, your consent is revoked and your data will no longer be used for sending newsletters.


Storage duration

Your data will only be stored for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After unsubscribing, your data will be deleted unless legal retention obligations apply.


Your rights

You have the right at any time:

  • To obtain information about the data stored about you
  • to have incorrect data corrected
  • to request the deletion of your data
  • to request the restriction of processing
  • to revoke your consent with effect for the future
